Thyme and Season:
Rte. 10 in Hamden: Paradise! For real--everything you can dream of including fresh
pasta,as well as Belo pies and cheesecake! They also carry Chebe bread.
World of
Nutrition:
Market Square in Newingon: A tiny gem. There is a whole wall of GF mixes and flours,
a freezer case with breads, rolls and even frozen pizza dough! Their dried cranberries and
cherries are GF (no flour to keep them from sticking.) They are very helpful in getting in
products that you’d like.
Wild Oats:
Located at Bishop's
Corner in West Hartford, Wild Oats is a natural foods supermarket. It has many GF
products. Of note, all their cheeses are GF. You can get Bell and Evans
chickens and turkeys, which are GF. They have lovely fresh veggies, as well as a
wide selection of GF flours, pastas, mixes and snacks. A list of GF products is
available. Also, they are part of a chain, and their Web site, www.wildoats.com, has anexentsive GF listing.
Natural Food Store:
Main Street, Niantic: This store has a lot of Glutano goodies, Food for life breads, Tinkyada pasta, Roberts American
gourmet goodies, Foods by George English muffins and muffins, Vans wheat free waffles, and
lots more GF goods. The owner and employees that work there are very helpful and the owner
will order things that you request.
